Isles fans Still Seething over Tavares' Depature

WARNING: Will Piss off Isles fans: 

I didn't think I would have to write about this, But I see that I have to.

It has been over 2 Months since Former Islanders Captain, John Tavares informed the Islanders he was Not going to re-sign and instead signed a 7 Year Deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs. The First few days Understandably, Isles fans including myself were upset and/or angry.
Fast Forward 2 Months Later, Isles fans are STILL Upset and Angry. Their Anger goes back to last season during the Trade deadline when then General Manager Garth Snow said that he wasn't going to Trade Tavares. 

Fans are under the Impression that Tavares made a request to Malkin, Ledecky and Snow not to be traded. That is False. The only thing Tavares requested was to play the regular season before making a Commitment. Tavares didn't request not to be traded, That was an Order from Co-Owner Scott Malkin. Fans are livid that Snow didn't trade Tavares and The Hatred for Snow is understandable, but the Anger in this case is Misguided. The Anger SHOULD be directed Towards Scott Malkin. Snow was simply Following orders from Malkin to not trade Tavares and for that, Garth Snow can NOT be blamed.

Isles Fans are still so angry and were when he Left the Islanders, that they are resorting to being classless and Miserable by wishing Injury on him....This isn't a Hamstring pull, Concussion or Muscle Strain....No, This is Full-on wishing for a Career Ending Injury in the Form of wanting Tavares to Blow his knee out in practices and/or Game 1 of the Season! Honestly, How miserable and classless can Isles fans be? 

I saw in a Maple Leaf post a while back where isles fans were miserable and posting idiotic statements about Tavares and Leafs fans were laughing at them and telling them to be "Realistic" (Something a Majority of Isles fans claim to be, But that's for a Different Blog) about Tavares.

I've been told that if you so much as cheer for Tavares and thank him for his time, you aren't a True Fan of the Islanders. You aren't a True Isles fan unless you give him the Middle Finger Salute, Curse him out, Wish Injury upon him etc. 

It's almost as if the Fans are acting like Tavares left them at the Alter!

To Clarify, Tavares ALWAYS Said that He hopes it works out with the Islanders and that he wants it to work out with the Islanders....Welp, It didn't work out.

Isles fans are so hung up on Tavares leaving, that they are only Focusing on what his downsides of his career with the Islanders were rather than reflect and remember what he did for the team in terms of How good a Player he is/was! For the Player that Tavares was for the Team, You can say Tavares WAS The Islanders! Ask any fan of any other team that! Even ask Ranger fans, they will say the Same thing!

Isles Fans play the "What have you done for me lately" card. It's a stupid way of looking at a Player's career! Virtually an 80+ Point a year player, Scored over Virtually 30 Goals a Season and had over 37 assists a Year!

Tavares is GONE. He isn't coming back. Crying and Whining will NOT bring him back! The Situation was NOT handled well by him, but the Past is The Past and it's time to move on....It's been time to move on since Mid July! 

Tavares will be playing Against the Islanders for the Next 7 Years, if not more! Get used to it, because that's what we'll all be seeing.
