Isles Fans demand a "Tank for Hughes" to Lamoriello.

Here's something I've been thinking about:

Why would The Isles Tank?

Yes, The Roster isn't thrilling or Promising in the Least bit, but why Tank?

Malkin (Not Ledecky), Signed Lou Lamoriello shortly after the Season ended and gave him full control of Everything. Lamoriello then fired Garth Snow after becoming President of Hockey Operations and named himself GM, then Fired Head Coach Doug Weight but kept them in Organizational Roles.

Lamoriello then Hired Stanley Up Winning Head Coach Barry Trotz along with Cup Winning Coaches Lane Lambert and Mitch Korn, AHL Calder Cup Winning Goaltending Coach Piero Greco, OHL J. Ross Robertson Cup Winning Head Coach John Gruden (Not to be Confused with Raiders Head Coach Jon Gruden), Assistant GM Steve Pellegrini and other Executives that have worked under him.

Notice how Virtually Most of the Coaches under Doug Weight were let go and found other Work with the Exception of One Coach last year which was Scott Gomez, who is now a Member of Trotz' Coaching Staff.

The Signings of Leo Komarov, Valtteri Filppula, Tom Kuhnhackl, Robin Lehner, Trading for Matt Martin, Signing Jan Kovar, Giving Ross Johnston a 4 year 1 way deal, Devon Toews a Contract, Signing Luca Sbisa, etc. All Lamoriello signings.

I'm willing to Guarantee, If Garth Snow made these Signings/moves, Fans would be absolutely Livid and Demand he be fired right off the bat, especially after letting Tavares go to the Leafs in Free Agency, But because Lamoriello made these signings/moves, Fans are nowhere near as mad, if not mad at all.

This isn't a Method of Tanking like what fans think, This is what Lamoriello sees as a "Winning" Team....Old, Gritty and Physical is Lamoriello's vision of a "Winning" Team.

If the Team were tanking, Why on Earth would Malkin (not Ledecky) sign a 3 Time Cup WINNING HOF GM, and Cup WINNING Coaches in the leagues that they coached in last season?

***See the Trend here with the Coaches, The Executive signings and WINNING?*** Just an FYI, Ledecky is nothing more than a Mouth Piece for the Team. Malkin calls all the Shots.

"Tank for Hughes" Seems to be what the Fans want because the Roster isn't young and exciting and is instead Full of Old Physical Veterans that Lamoriello signed as part of this "Culture Change" that he instituted.

Isles fans Jumped in the air in excitement when Garth Snow and Doug Weight were fired, Lamoriello came in and when Trotz was hired. Now because Lamoriello didn't sign any flashy names in Free Agency, Trade for any Big Names and Sent Kieffer Bellows and Josh Ho-Sang back to the AHL, Fans think that this is a Tank Job to nab the Biggest Name in next years Draft, Jack Hughes.

If the Formula for the Team is "Winning" and the Team hires "Winning Coaches and Executives," why tank especially when the Draft Lottery isn't Guaranteed to go to the Worst Team in the League?

I HIGHLY Doubt that the Isles are tanking this year or any year, especially when they have a WINNING Formula in the form of Winning Coaches and a HOF GM at the Helm of your team!
