Islanders Firings/Signings/Hirings/etc

Hello All, It Certainly has been a While! My apologies for being M.I.A (Missing in Action) not Attitude, Although Attitude will come Soon Enough. I had an Emergency Surgical Procedure done on my eyes and was unable to write, but now I'm Back! Hope you Missed me, Because I've got things to write and Say and you Best believe I'm Bringing the Heat! But for now, I'll Just do a Recap of what Happened and My quick Reaction to what had Happened.
Where to Start?

Hiring:

Well, We all know that Lou Lamoriello was hired by Scott Malkin to be the President of Hockey Operations and to be in Control of everything Hockey Related. The Shocker was when he "Fired" (Reassigned) Head Coach Doug Weight and President of Hockey Operations/General Manager/Alternate Governor/Isles Fans Focus of Anger Garth Snow.

Firing(s):

The Bigger Surprise to me, Was the Relieving Doug Weight of Head Coaching after One and a Half Seasons as Isles Bench Boss. Not so Surprised that Garth Snow was Removed although these were changes that had to be made. Firings and

Signings/Hirings:

Along with the Changes, Lamoriello Let Assistant Coach Greg Cronin, Video Replay Coach Matt Bertani go and Brought in Recent Stanley Cup Champion Head Coach/Former Capitals Head Coach Barry Trotz to be the Next Isles Bench Boss, Steve Pellegrini as an Assistant General Manager but more Specifically to be Part of Contract Negotiations (His Specialty).
I support the Moves that were made by Lamoriello and Let me go on the Record by saying, that I WANT TAVARES TO REMAIN A NEW YORK ISLANDER!
I'm more than certain that more changes will be made.

The Draft:

One thing that Didn't change were the Isles scouts. Lamoriello said that he trusted the scouts the Isles had before he was hired (AKA Snow's Scouts). The Isles Drafted Forward Oliver Wahlstrom and Defenseman Noah Dobson in the First Round at Picks #11 and #12 and they were Great Picks indeed! Surprising so many teams passed on them. The Islanders also selected Defenseman Bode Wilde in Round 2 at Pick #41 (He looked pretty upset at the end of the First Round, didn't he? They also Selected Forward Ruslan Iskhakov with Pick #43 in the Second Round, Goaltender Jakub Skarek in the 3rd round at Pick #72, Forward Jake Pivonka in the 4th Round at Pick #103, Forward Blade Jenkins (Gotta love that name) in the 5th Round at Pick #134 and Defenseman Christian Krygier in the 7th Round at Pick #196. Overall, Very good Selections in a Very Strong Draft Class where there weren't many big trades with the Exception of one VERY Big Trade between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Calgary Flames (But that's for a different time). The Islanders didn't trade much in this Year's Draft (actually didn't trade at all) an Attempt was made to our Knowledge according to the NHL in the Form of Lamoriello wanting Capitals now Avalanche Goaltender Phillip Grubauer, but the Price was either too steep or no Interest on the Capitals part of deal him to the Isles....Whichever the case was, the Trade didn't happen.
Signings (Somewhat):

The Islanders Decided to Give Qualifying offers to Select amount of Players (Restricted Free Agents) in the Form of Brock Nelson, Ryan Pulock, Kyle Burroughs, Ross Johnston and Devon Toews. Not Surprisingly, Alan Quine and Shane Prince weren't given Qualifying Offers, but Surprisingly Brandon Davidson wasn't given a Qualifying Offer. Those 3 Will become Unrestricted Free Agents.

John Tavares:

The Isles Captain is the Isles most Prized Possession at this Point. He made it clear to the NHL that he would meet with 5 teams and listen to their offers and also, to Test his Value (Which having a Great Career so far, He deserves to at least listen to what other teams have to offer). His agent, Pat Brisson is doing the right thing by telling him to listen to these other teams. Those other teams are The Toronto Maple Leafs, The Dallas Stars, The San Jose Sharks, The Boston Bruins, The Tampa Bay Lightning and of Course, the New York Islanders. So far, The Leafs and Isles had made their Presentations to Tavares and from what is being reported by some that "The Isles (Trotz, Lamoriello and all) did NOT look Disappointed at all." Although, that sounds Positive, that doesn't give us any sense of Reality of what's going on or what Tavares himself is thinking. We know that a few days ago, the Isles made him an offer of 8 Years, 88 Million Dollars (that's 11 Million a Year). Seeing that the Isles Drafted Tavares, they can offer him the Extra year. The Sharks and Bruins gave their Pitch to JT today, Tampa Bay and Dallas I would assume is scheduled to meet with him tomorrow. What will come out of these Meetings? I guess we'll know in a few days.

Bagels:

If it Takes 8 Years, 88 Million Dollars and a Lifetime Supply of Long Island Bagel Boss Bagels, I'll Take it! Being a New Yorker myself, New York Bagels, Like New York Pizza is to Die for and I certainly Support The Bagel Boss Store Owner's Attempts to give JT Free Bagels to stay. Even shipping Bagels out to LA (Hoping they were Hot and Fresh) to convince him. Other states can't Compare to New York Bagels and Pizza! If that's the Case that gets him to stay, I'll go into said Bagel Boss (Long Island Location, Not going into Manhattan) and Purchasing a "91" Bagel!

LETS GO ISLANDERS AND JOHN TAVARES, PLEASE RE-SIGN WITH THE ISLANDERS!!!
