ISLANDERS VS SENATORS 11/25/2017

IT'S GAME DAY EVERYONE!!! TONIGHT'S CONTEST IS A CONGRESSIONAL MATCH UP BETWEEN THE NEW YORK ISLANDERS AND THE OTTAWA SENATORS AT THE CANADIAN TIRE CENTRE IN OTTAWA!!!

THE ISLANDERS:

For The 2nd time, The Islanders beat the Flyers in OT while Burning Flyers Forward Sean Couturier to set up the Game winning Goal....The Islanders were Down 4-2 going into the 3rd period yesterday and scored 2 unanswered goals to tie the game and force overtime! With the Overtime win, The Islanders right now have taken 3rd place in the Division, Just 2 points behind New Jersey for 2nd Place and 3 points behind Columbus for 1st Place. The Lineup Changes for the Isles are that Alan Quine Comes in for Anthony Beauvillier and Thomas Hickey will Come in for Dennis Seidenberg.

THE SENATORS:

The Senators are coming off of a Horrific Blowout 5-2 Loss against the Columbus Blue Jackets in Columbus Yesterday. The Senators are banged up a bit with Clarke MacArthur out with a Concussion, Colin White with a Fractured Wrist, Zack Smith with a Dislocated Thumb and Chris Wideman with a Hamstring Injury....Ottawa has lost their last 3 games and have gone 3-6-1 in their last 10 games...They'll be looking to break the losing streak tonight against an Islanders Team that is coming off a BIG Overtime Win against the Flyers.

GOALTENDERS:

For The Islanders, Jaroslav Halak is the Confirmed Starter Tonight....Things haven't looked good for Jaro, Allowing 13 goals in his last three outings but that wasn't due to his play....That was due to the team in front leaving him out to fend for himself, Although Jaro has a 3 game losing streak on his belt and is looking to turn that around Tonight....Jaro draws the Matchup after Thomas Greiss for the Time being has the Starter's role and has the Hot Hand....Jaro also hopes his team up front can help him out and get the win tonight!

For The Senators, Craig Anderson is the Unconfirmed Projected Starter....Anderson is the recipient of a Major Loss yesterday against the Blue Jackets...Allowing 5 goals, Anderson hasn't had the best of years so far....Holding a 7-7-3 Record with a 3.01 Goals Against along with a .894 Save Percentage....It's been a rough Start for Anderson....HOWEVER, Don't be Surprised if Backup Goaltender Mike Condon gets the Nod Tonight....Condon has been playing very well for the Senators and if you remember, He took over in Anderson's absence as the #1 Starter and was a MAJOR Reason why the Senators made it to the Playoffs! This year though, Condon has posted a 1-0-4 Record....In his Last 5 games (With two Relief Appearances), Condon has allowed 14 Goals....He holds a 3.00 Goals Against with a .904 Save Percentage! Expect Mike Condon tonight but don't be surprised if Anderson Gets the Nod.

OVERALL:

This is the end of a Back-to-Back for the Islanders before the Islanders go home for a two game Pit Stop against Vancouver and the Same Ottawa Senators. The Win Tonight would put the Islanders in a tie for 2nd Place with the New Jersey Devils depending on how they do against Detroit....The Islanders have done well this year and they will be looking for another 2 Points tonight! #beLIeve in Our Team!!!
