Islanders Vs. Flyers 11/24/2017

IT'S GAME DAY EVERYONE!!! TODAY'S MATCH UP IS AN AFTERNOON METROPOLITAN DIVISIONAL BATTLE BETWEEN THE NEW YORK ISLANDERS AND THE PHILADELPHIA FLYERS AT THE WELLS FARGO CENTER IN PENNSYLVANIA!!!

THE ISLANDERS:

The Islanders are coming off of an insane overtime winner against said Flyers on Wednesday when John Tavares managed to have control of the puck while trying to be checked by Sean Couturier and Managed to set up Josh Bailey for the Game Winning Goal! It took everyone by surprise and by everyone I mean EVERYONE, NHL Analysts and NHL Insiders were talking about the Insane Puck handling by John Tavares and not a Goal by Connor McDavid, Sidney Crosby or even a Patrick Kane assist....This was All John Tavares' Setup to Josh Bailey and Rightfully so! The Islanders come in tonight in 3rd Place in the Metro Division and Just 3 Points out of 1st place and 2 Point of 2nd Place! Lineup Changes (If Any) won't be known until later on today. Since the Islanders are Starting a Back-to-Back Either Jaro Halak or Thomas Greiss will Start today....When the Announcement comes, we'll all know the changes and the Goaltender for today and Tomorrow Night.

THE FLYERS:

The Flyers are still in shock from the John Tavares Puck handling and feed to Josh Bailey that ultimately won the game for the Islanders in Overtime....That Loss is now the 6th straight loss the Flyers have suffered. The Flyers haven't been playing terribly but they haven't been able to Close out games or steal games from the Opposition....Today, They will be looking to break their losing streak and come out with a win.

GOALTENDERS:

For The Islanders, Thomas Greiss is the Confirmed Starter....Greiss has been Solid for the Islanders and for now, it looks like he has taken over the Starter's Role.

For The Flyers, Brian Elliott is the Unconfirmed Projected Starter....Elliott was sensational in Wednesday's game against the Islanders! If it wasn't for him, the Flyers would've been blown out but Elliott stood tall and strong and kept the Flyers in the game until the Overtime game winner was shot passed him and into the Net...Backup Goaltender and Quick Coffee Break Former Islander Michal Neuvirth could Start today as well.

OVERALL:

The Islanders are looking great this year, They Look to take the 2 points against the Flyers tonight before heading into Ottawa tomorrow for a 7pm Matchup against the Senators!!! #beLIeve in Our Team!!! LETS GO ISLANDERS!!!
